Our Co-Principals


The PASS school leadership model recognises the power of having principals who provide strong and effective leadership through coupling experience and expertise with providing positive influence as the matua, or “parents” of the school.


Our co-principals are Ala’imalo Falefatu and Parehuia Enari. A dynamic husband and wife team who have many years of teaching, key leadership roles and have a passion and a heart to see every student fulfil their potential in education and life.


Ala’imalo Falefatu Enari

(Lepa, Nofoali’i, Vaiala, Safune, Sataua, Wairoa NZ)

Qualifications: Bachelor of Education (Physical Education & Māori), Diploma in Teaching – University of Waikato

Falefatu Enari is a passionate, experienced educator with more than two decades of teaching, mentoring and coaching experience in the primary and secondary sectors as well as experience in the tertiary sector. With senior management experience in both mainstream and Māori medium schools, he is a collaborative leader with strengths in the development and empowerment of people. Falefatu is a dedicated family man who strives for and encourages advancement within his work, community and personal life.

Parehuia Enari

(Rongowhakaata, Te Aitanga-ā-Mahaki, Ngāti Porou)

Qualifications: Bachelor of Education (Education and Māori) Diploma in Teaching – University of Waikato

Parehuia Enari has had an extensive career in education, spanning back to the early 1990s. She has a vast range of teaching, mentoring and leadership experience from primary to the secondary sectors including principalship in the primary sector. Parehuia is a collaborative leader with strengths in mentoring and leadership development. She is passionate about raising achievement in her own and other children’s educational and personal lives so they may make an impact in the lives of their families and community.


We at PASS firmly believe the age old proverb that “It takes a Village to raise a child”. Every PASS student will be welcomed into an environment that is culturally recognisable to them. Our core values of love, compassion, respect, faith and service will underpin their daily life at PASS.

The journey of a student at PASS will be one that is challenging, exciting and purposeful. A PASS student will be challenged to grow in their identity and character daily as well as been equipped to face the challenges of their ever changing world.

The PASS education will grow an “attitude of humility” and instil a “love for learning”. Students will graduate from PASS equipped with strong character, a holistic education, grounded in their understanding of their culture and values with the adaptability to see them reach their full potential”
