SCHOOL CARETAKER

Title: School Caretaker
Hours: 15-20 per week
Hourly Rate: $26.00
Skills: Needs to be a handyman with basic building maintenance skills
Other: Friendly, Hard worker
RESPONSIBILITIES
The school caretaker is responsible for:
Daily
- Work alongside staff members responsible for recycling and the disposal of rubbish
- Check the maintenance list for priority jobs for the day
Weekly
- Educating all the villages (students and staff) on care of school grounds and buildings and may also involve some cleaning tips and procedures
- Weekly audit of school buildings/facilities and grounds for any repairs and maintenance required to be carried out.
- Create a task list of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Work alongside staff members to maintain the school sheds and storage areas.
- Maintain the safety and good order of the school grounds and buildings and you may also do some incidental cleaning or supervise students who are on village duties
Monthly
- Check and maintain school property and furniture - chairs, tables, etc.
- Check maintenance and security of school buildings
